We Can Get Clean Together

Seeing as all the cool kids have been making lists lately, I felt the need to jump on the bandwagon.
I now present the top ten dishes I most hate washing…
- Peanut butter knives (though I love peanut butter)
- Thin flower vases (not technically a dish, but WHATEVER)
- Anything oily
- Those plastic Ziploc food storage thingies
- Large pots
- Cereal bowls that have been sitting out
- Any plate or bowl where all the food wasn’t finished
- Pyrex casserole dishes
- Whisks
And the number one dish I most hate washing is…
Colanders. Ugh. They have all these little holes and they get the starchy pasta juice all over inside and out and they’re such a pain. If someone told me that I never had to wash another colander in my life, that would be incredible news.

I can second the distress endured when washing the disposable food containers. When I'm at school, I use them mainly for oatmeal and there was clearly some diabolical scheming to be found in the engineering of these endless-crevices-to-be-found-and-cleaned dishes.
Thin flower vases do count as a dish.

I think you missed one: cheese-graters. I mean, how do you clean those things without ruining your sponge or possibly your hands?

Not surprisingly, I too dislike washing the same dishes as mentioned on your list, although I don't often wash vases. Oatmeal dishes are annoying, too (right, Ryan?)

I have a dish washer, and since I'm lazy I use that Cascade Complete that I think could dissolve an entire human body if submerged in it. Neat bath tub experiment for your enemies.
No peanut butter knives for me!

Wisks are the worst. Even moreso when whatever is all dried and crusty on them.. arg!!
