I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head all day, so I figured I’d share it with others. Actually, not being able to get the song off endless loop in my head isn’t such a bad thing, because it’s a great song. Super catchy, bouncy, and fun.
Portobella - Covered In Punk
Visit the (very light on content) Portobella website for your daily dose of flash content. I’m hoping they’ll release some more stuff soon because I really like what I’m hearing in this track.

I’ve decided that I need to get some new speakers for my computer. Since I’m not a gamer and I don’t watch movies at my desk, I don’t need surround sound, so I’m looking for a good set of 2.1s. After some looking around and reading reviews, I’m torn between the Logitech Z-2200 and the Klipsch ProMedia GMX A-2.1. Even though the Klipschs look totally cool, many of the reviews mention issues with hiss, which isn’t so cool. Plus the Logis currently have a $50 rebate. If anybody has any advice, I’d appreciate it!
Update: I saw the Klipschs at the Apple store today and didn’t like the sound too much, and since the Logitechs have gotten great reviews, are on sale, and are recommended by RyanHarne.com, I’ll be ordering them shortly.

After a lot HTML/CSS/ExpressionEngine/PHP hacking, my boyfriend’s new site design is up. I’m quite happy with how it came out.
ExpressionEngine is a pretty cool system, and Bryan is bugging me about creating a LiveJournal cross-post module. We’ll see if that happens.
At work, I spent all day with my head buried in an Access database, learning way more than I ever wanted to know about the limitations of grouping and sorting in reports and create table queries. I have such a love/hate relationship with programming for Access… on the one hand it’s possible to do some very cool and powerful things, but there are also some insanely stupid walls that I run into. I’ll probably be able to wrap up work on it tomorrow.
Courtney is coming to visit on Friday, which will be fun. I like having people visit. All people should visit me.

It’s only been a week since my last post… pretty good for me as of late, n’est pas?
Dave and Olivia came for a quick overnight visit yesterday. We had a good time hanging out and talking and watching some Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Space Ghost. It’s kind of funny that both this and last time they visited, it was for less than twenty-four hours. Hopefully someday Bryan and I will be able to spend more time with them than that.
After they left, Bryan and I took a trip to Costco and Target, spending much more at Costco than we planned (as always). People who have visited us will be happy to know that we got an electric pump for the air mattress, so no more half hour foot pump sessions. Then we spent most of the rest of the afternoon cuddling on the couch and watching Alias.
Today I also got Bright Like Neon Love by Cut Copy. Amazing album. It’s got this great New Order meets Daft Punk vibe that is just incredible. I highly recommend it.
In my (lately more limited) time, I’ve been working an an adaptation of Rokey’s POPO emotions as an emoticon pack for Adium. Check them out… I think they turned out well.
