This is not a haiku. You’ll find each line is slightly wrong. I like wasting your time.

Everybody’s Moving

Well, just my site at the moment. nanovivid.com will be transitioning to a new server over the next few days, so there may be moments of brokenness here and there.

For anyone who has a subdomain on my site, I’ll need to give you your new FTP info, but I’m migrating all the data.

If you’re seeing this modified entry, then you’ve got the new server. Leave a comment if you notice anything broken. Other than the comment times that is. I’m aware of that one. :-)

Although You May Not Know It Yet

You need this song. I usually don’t direct link, but it’s just that good. The song is Apart (Rough Kids Mix) by Elkland. They’ve been around for a while, formerly as “Goat Explosion” … Elkland is definitely a better name… and they recently got picked up by a major label.

Anyway, the song is absolutely incredible. Give it about 10 seconds to get past the little intro and you’ll hear it. Magic.

If this song is indication (which I thoroughly hope it is), their upcoming releases are going to be excellent.

And a Little More

For those in on my life, here’s a bit more in-depth update.

I’m in Ohio right now, visiting Bryan. At this exact moment, I’m enjoying the free wireless at Café Ah-Roma while he meets with the other leaders of the sunday school class he leads.

So for the big decision… my date for moving has moved from October to August. Bryan and I are both tired of dealing with the complications of distance and all the worry about my job. So now there’s less than two months of that to bear.

I’m totally excited and scared about this whole moving thing. It’s going to be a very new experience for me, since the only other times I’ve moved areas were when I was eight (from Georga to Virginia) and when I went to college. Other than that, I’ve hung around the same areas. So it’s going to be a change for sure. And I’m sure that I’m not ready for it, but at the same time I am.

Erm, I’m sure I could think of other things to write about, but that’s all for now.

It Begins Again

It’s been a while, I know. I’m impressed that you’ve survived this long without me to brighten your life. Heh.

First off, I want to thank everyone who has sent me notes of encouragement. I’ve very much appreciated it, and I’ve read them all, even if I haven’t written back. So thank you.

It’s been almost a month since my last entry. I guess I just haven’t felt much like writing. There isn’t any one reason… more of a combination of everything. I’ve made some major decisions that it’s not quite time to make public yet, and I’ve (of course) been dealing with my mom’s death. That’s been a new experience for me, having never lost anyone close to me before. It’s tough to not just try to ignore all the emotions and hold them all in, but I know that’s exactly what I shouldn’t do. So I’ve been trying to let things out when I need to do so. People have been very understanding and helpful, which has been wonderful.

Currently I’m recovering from a yucky cold/sinus thing, during which I have singlehandedly kept the facial tissue industries of the world afloat. Seriously, I think they owe me a thank you note.

Now it just remains to be seen if this signals my return to regular writing or not. We’ll see, I guess.
