A Very Happy Nuggetfest to You All
October 26th, 2003 • Friends / Randomness
Tonight was the 3rd annual Nuggetfest, a celebration of the wonderful night of an extra hour of sleep. The tradition came into being as so many have — because of hunger. On one fateful clock-changing night, our heroes Courtney and Michael realized they needed something to eat. Unfortunately, the hour was late and every place they tried was closed. Finally, they gave up and went back to Michael’s. They ate chicken nuggets, and all was well with the world.
The memory of that night is a constant inspiration to us all, so the tradition continues. In honor of Nuggetfest, I would like to tell one of my favorite Nuggetfest stories that isn’t the origin story. Last year, during Nuggetfest, Michael decided that his car needed gas. He, Courtney, Cameron, and I hopped in his car and after the gas station trip, we sat in the driveway talking and listening to music for several hours. There happened to be a full moon that night, and Michael’s car has a sunroof. Now, Courtney was sitting in the rear passenger seat, and I was in front of her. In order to get a better view of the moon through the sunroof, she suddenly leaned forward and twisted her head toward me. Of course, this is what she claims. However, since we all know that everyone wants me, it is obvious that her story is simply a cover for the truth: she was trying to get some Adam action. I can’t say that I’d blame her.
Now, this is the paragraph where I apologize profusely to Ney for considering telling the embarrassing story about her. Oh, wait, I already told it. Oops. Looks like Adam is in trouble.
Tonight’s Nuggetfest was not as eventful as previous years, mostly due to Michael’s absence. The evening was closer to a typical Saturday TV evening plus nuggets. Yay nuggets.

Yes, Adam is in trouble.
Wow, after a whole year the infamous story that has been and still is an inspiration for much love-m, er, I mean fun-making has finally been told for all to hear/see. Should I even bother to defend myself?
Michael was very missed at the 3rd Annual NuggetFest. Hopefully next year we'll do a better job of carrying on the tradition. :-)

i was about to remark that you totally butchered the original nuggetfest story but it looks like you already corrected it. two points for delayed accuracy.
and this years nuggetfest was a smashing success. after all, i was finally able to participate. what more could you ask for?

Yes, I pointed out the error to Adam and it was promptly corrected. I'm afraid it cost him some points for not getting the origin story right on the first try, though. Adam, you've lost 17 points.

Actually the points system is a Home Movies reference. But I'll let everyone have joint ownership.

Wow! I don't think I've been to Adam's website for 276.5 hours ( approx. ). I love the retelling of the best NF story ever. I was there and Adam relayed it pretty much correctly. Everyone, remember two things: I'm the NF treasurer and NF raffle initiator!!! Go nuggets!!!
