And So It Continues

August 19th, 2003Friends / Links / News

The insanity that is the return of students has officially commenced today with an almost eleven hour GRR I JUST SPILLED MY MOSTLY FULL CUP OF WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR! ::sigh:: Anyway, an almost eleven hour work day which consisted mostly of cleaning out our computer depot and filling almost sixteen big monitor boxes with old equipment that should have been thrown out years ago. So that place is all mucho cleaner.

I got home at about 7:45 and wow, that shower felt good. I’m really making it a goal to get some decent sleep tonight unlike last night. It’s Matthew and Courtney’s fault for keeping me up. I mean, Matthew and Courtney, I love you.

There’s still sooo much to do at work before the weekend. It’ll get done… at least that’s what I’m trying to convince myself. I’m already in not-planning-to-have-a-life-this-week mode.

On top of all that, my mom is back in the hospital, though she’s doing ok. This time it’s because apparently when they had the IV in it leaked out of the blood vessels into her hand and made it all swolen. Then it got infected. :-( But apparently she’s feeling more-or-less ok.

Oh, I almost forgot… I can’t end without mentioning The Onion - I Have An iPod — In My Mind. It brightened my day.

And… breathe.

Y'know, it may be insensitive but the first time I read that I could swear that it said that the TV leaked into your mother's blood vessels.
I thought — wow, there's the instantiation of Requiem for a Dream.

sorry to hear that your mom's in the hospital again. hope everything goes okay.

don't forget to get enough sleep this week. sleep deprivation will only make everything else worse. :)
